The impressive 16th Century Manor House, built with Sussex sandstone, still retains many original period features including ornate fireplaces, wooden panelled library shelving and parquet flooring. Other characteristics include its formal gardens, designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, the imposing gravel driveway leading up to the front of the main house, Shetland ponies, ancient woodland, lakes, bridges and waterfalls.
Buckhurst Park offers a versatile portfolio of possible locations for both film and television. Being film friendly, we welcome working with directors, producers and film crews. Films previously shot at Buckhurst Park have included episodes of ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Great House Cookery’.
