With its spectacular views of Buckhurst Park, its gardens and lakes, Buckhurst Park is the beautiful ancestral home of William Sackville, the 11th Earl De La Warr, and his wife Anne.
Your wedding should be the most memorable day of your life – and Buckhurst Park is designed to make it unforgettable.
To begin your special day, the nearby Parish Church of St Michael and All Angels – a beautiful historic church with ancient ties to the Sackville family – is available for your wedding ceremony if you so wish.
Afterwards, when you arrive at Buckhurst Park, you will find marquees constructed for your guests in our picturesque gardens. The grounds – designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and planted with help from Gertrude Jekyll and Vita Sackville-West – provide a stunning setting, and also offer a choice of locations for your marquee.
A marquee on the top lawn allows your guests to enjoy drinks on the terrace overlooking the grounds and lake, or wander among the roses in the sunken Italian garden around the lily pool; while the croquet lawn, situated on a lower terrace and reached by descending the “Sea of Steps”, is the perfect location for more flamboyant marquees.
For your wedding arrangements, including catering and refreshments, we have a preferred suppliers list, however we are happy to discuss alternatives with you for your special day. Please enquire with our Wedding Coordinator for full details.
